Getting Started

Map-first door workflow

Use the map, prospect record, and next-step workflow together so reps and managers stay on the same page.

Overview

KnockTracer works best when the team starts from the map instead of from a loose list. Reps can see where to go, what has already happened there, and which records deserve another pass.

How To

  1. Open the territory map before the shift starts and decide which streets or pockets should be worked first.
  2. Use the property or prospect record at the door so the rep can log the result while the interaction is still fresh.
  3. Set the next step immediately, whether that is follow-up, callback, handoff, or no further action.

Tips

  • Agree on the team's door-result labels before rollout so managers get clean reporting.
  • Keep follow-up timing inside the same record instead of texting reminders separately.
  • Treat install-ready accounts as handoff records, not as notes someone will have to decode later.

Questions

**Q: Why start from the map instead of a spreadsheet?** A: The map gives the rep live territory context and reduces wasted stops on properties that already have service or already received a recent pass.
