Overview
Every home or business you save in KnockTracer becomes a **prospect record** with provider detail, field history, contact notes, and next-step guidance. Managers and reps use filters to focus on high-opportunity doors, review past touches, and decide who to visit next.
Each prospect includes:
- **Property type** – residential, business, MDU, mixed-use, or other
- **Status** – not visited, talked to owner, interested, follow-up, already customer, and more
- **Provider and serviceability** – current carrier, package estimate, and confidence score
- **History timeline** – who knocked, when, what happened, and GPS confirmation
- **Next action** – follow-up date, callback reminder, or recommended next step
- **Units** – individual homes or offices inside multi-unit properties
Filters let you narrow thousands of records to the subset that matters right now: overdue callbacks, high-signal doors, or properties last touched by a specific rep.

How To
**1. Open the Prospects view** Tap **Prospects** in the navigation menu. You'll see every saved property in your workspace, sorted by last touch or next action.
**2. Apply status and property-type filters** Use the filter bar to show only **Interested**, **Follow-up**, or **Not visited** doors. Combine with **Residential** or **Business** to refine further.
**3. Filter by territory or assigned rep** Select one or more territories to see only doors in active markets. Choose a rep name to review their pipeline or reassign accounts.
**4. Sort by opportunity or next action** Click the **Opportunity** column to surface high-value targets first, or sort by **Next action** to prioritize callbacks and follow-ups due today.
**5. Inspect the history timeline** Open any prospect record to see every door knock, flyer drop, and status change. Each event shows the rep name, timestamp, action, and GPS confirmation.
**6. Tag records and add notes** Add tags like "gatekeeper," "decision-maker unavailable," or "contract ends Q2" to group similar doors. Use the notes field for longer context that helps the next rep or manager.

Tips
- **Start each day with the follow-up filter.** Overdue and due-today callbacks appear at the top so nothing slips through the cracks.
- **Use the map view alongside the table.** Filter prospects, then switch to **Map** to visualize density and plan your walking route.
- **Check the units tab for MDU properties.** Each apartment or office suite gets its own status, provider record, and next-step label.
- **Review history before knocking again.** If the last rep talked to a gatekeeper or left a flyer, your approach should change.
- **Export filtered lists for team huddles.** Share a CSV of high-opportunity doors or overdue follow-ups with your sales manager.

Questions
**Q: What's the difference between "prospect status" and "next action"?** Status captures the last field outcome (interested, no answer, already customer). Next action is the recommended follow-up step, like "callback Wednesday" or "send contract."
**Q: Can I reassign a prospect to a different rep or territory?** Yes. Open the record, choose the new territory or assigned rep from the dropdown, and save. History and notes stay intact so the next rep has full context.
